Three Big Blue Football Players Honored as CSC Academic All-District®

The College Sports Communicators released the names of their 2025 Football Academic All-District® honorees on Tuesday, January 6. The Big Blue football team had three names make the list based on their academic performance.

To be eligible for the honors, student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA.

Senior offensive lineman Aiden Etchason, an English Secondary Teaching major from Decatur, was named to the honors after starting all ten games for the Big Blue. 

Kyle Corkill, a sophomore wide receiver majoring in accounting was also named to the honor. In addition to football, Corkill is a member of the Millikin baseball team. Corkill, hailing from Sullivan, Ill., hauled in 17 receptions for 237 yards and two touchdowns in the 2025 season. 

The final Millikin football player honored was quarterback and punter, Joe Brummer. Brummer, a junior transfer student studying Biology Secondary Education, is a Forsyth, Ill. native who appeared in all ten games for the Big Blue as the punter and holder.
