Millikin, CCIW Announce Fall 2025 Jack Swartz Award Winners and Academic All-Conference Athletes

          DECATUR, Ill.—Millikin University, in conjunction with the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW), announces its Jack Swartz Award Recipients and the CCIW Dave Wrath Academic All-Conference team for fall 2025.

Aiden Etchason and Delaney Higgins have been selected as the Jack Swartz Award Recipients. A senior offensive lineman on the Millikin football team, Aiden Etchason helped lead the Big Blue offense to 2,898 yards of total offense in the 2025 season, an increase of over 600 yards from the previous season. In addition, the senior captain helped serve as a leader both on the field, starting all 10 games, and in the classroom by serving as an academic mentor for the athletic department. Delaney Higgins was chosen as the women's recipient, a second team all-conference member of the women's volleyball team. Higgins led the team in kills with 317, averaging 2.83 per set. She added 45 service aces and the second most digs on the squad with 300 in 2025. Both student-athletes were named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® this winter.
Each season the CCIW selects the Dave Wrath Academic All-Conference Team. To be recognized, the student-athlete must be enrolled as a full-time student, participate in a varsity sport and must carry at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average. Jack Swartz winners must have at least a 3.50 grade point average. Freshmen are not eligible for the honors.
