Men's Tennis Sneaks Past Carroll

Box Score The Big Blue men's tennis team met their second opponent of their Wisconsin trip on Saturday, April 11. Millikin snuck out a victory over the Pioneers, winning 4-3.

In doubles play, Carroll secured the doubles point despite Gillian Nahum and Jorge Aura winning 6-4 at No. 1. Matthew Kordesh and Harry Masterman fell 5-7 in a tightly contested No. 2 match.

The Big Blue rebounded in singles play, with Nahum winning at No. 1 over Andrew LaBelle 6-2, 6-3. At No. 3, Eduardo Vargas defeated Ulrik Gellein in twin 6-3 sets. Then, Aura rebounded after falling in his opening set to defeat Felix Prsson 2-6, 6-3, 6-4. Masterman secured the final victory at No. 5, winning 7-5, 6-4 over Nate Christensen.

With the win, the Big Blue move to 2-2 in College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin play, 13-5 overall. Millikin will be back in action on the road in Rock Island, Ill. on Wednesday, April 15 against Augustana.
