Men's Tennis Downed by Augustana on the Road

Box Score The Big Blue men's tennis team traveled to Rock Island, Ill. for a College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin matchup with the Vikings of Augustana College. In the match, the Big Blue faced a tough test with the Vikings, falling 1-6.

In doubles play, the team of Matthew Kordesh and Harry Masterman picked up a victory at No. 2 over Santiago Diaz and Saman Rezaeyan, 6-3.

Kordesh accounted for the lone victory in singles play, winning the first set in a tiebreaker 7-6 (7-5), dropping his second set at No. 2 against Rezaeyan 5-7 before bouncing back for a 10-2 third set victory.

With the loss, Millikin falls to 13-6 on the season, 2-3 in CCIW play. The Big Blue will be back in action on Friday, April 17 when they travel to Greenville, Ill. to meet the Panthers of Greenville University for a non-conference match.
