Millikin Swimmers Hit Pool

  The Millikin men's and women's swimming team hosted its first home meet of the 2015-16 on November 6 in the McIntosh Pool in Decatur, Illinois.
          The Millikin men lost a dual meet with Lincoln College 96-53. The Millikin women swam a double dual losing to Lincoln 95-83 and to Quincy University 95-83. The women's duals were decided in the final event of the evening the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay with Lincoln winning followed by Quincy.
          The Millikin women won the 200 Yard Medley Relay in 1:56.97 with Emily Nielsen, Shelby Kobs, Caroline Lodovisi and Sami Battle swimming legs. The time was the seventh fastest in school history.
          Kobs won the 200 Yard IM in 2:20.68 and Battle came home first in the women's 50 Yard Freestyle in 25.14.
The Millikin men had two event winners with Spencer McGowan taking the 200 Yard Freestyle in 1:52.88 and Keegan Duesterhaus winning the 500 Yard Freestyle in 5:35.30.
          Millikin will be back in the pool on Saturday, November 7 at Illinois College.
