Big Blue Baseball Ready to Battle For CCIW Tournament Title

After going 2-1 on the first two days of the 2019 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Baseball Tournament, the Millikin baseball team is still alive in the tournament entering play on Championship Saturday at Zimmerman Field in Naperville, Illinois on May 11.
The Big Blue face Illinois Wesleyan at 10 a.m. in a win or go home game with the winner facing North Central College in the Championship game at 1 p.m.

Millikin opened tournament play on Thursday posting a 10-3 win over North Park and a 14-1 win over Augustana. Millikin lost the winner's bracket final game to North Central on Friday 4-0.
Illinois Wesleyan posted an opening victory against Wheaton before losing to North Central 14-6 on Friday. The Titans won a losers bracket game over North Park on Friday night to advance to Saturday's game.
If the Big Blue can advance to the title game the Big Blue would need to beat North Central twice in the double elimination tournament format.
