Greensboro, NC – Millikin University Baseball was announced as one of 800+ high school and collegiate baseball programs to earn the 2025-26 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack. The listing was released by the organization on Wednesday morning. 

Millikin was one of over 500 college baseball teams on the listing, with the award is given annually to teams that maintain a 3.0 GPA through the end of the spring semester.

"I am very proud of the continued academic success that our guys are having, it is always a focus of ours to be winners both on and off the field." said Head Baseball Coach Brandon Townsend. "It's great to see our program building winners beyond succeeding on the field."

The Big Blue joined six other CCIW institutions to represent the conference on the listing.

The American Baseball Coaches Association has a long tradition of recognizing the achievements of baseball coaches and student-athletes. The ABCA/Rawlings All-America Teams are the nation's oldest, founded in 1949, and the ABCA's awards program also includes the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Awards, the ABCA/ATEC Regional & National Coaches of the Year and several other major awards such as the ABCA Hall of Fame and the Dave Keilitz Ethics in Coaching Award.
