Decatur, IL - Millikin University Baseball's Pete Britton was named to the ABCA Division III Region VIII All-Defensive team, as announced by the organization on Thursday afternoon.

The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America & Coach of the Year Committee. Region All-Defensive selections were eligible for consideration for the 2026 ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Awards. Winners of the ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Awards in all divisions were announced on Wednesday, June 17.

The Big Blue mainstay at second base, Britton adds to his collection of 2026 accolades. The Dieterich, Illinois native had already been named second team All-CCIW, and second team All-Region by the ABCA. He helped the Big Blue to post a 35-10 overall record, with Millikin winning the CCIW regular season title outright at 15-5 before winning the CCIW postseason tournament.

Britton had a stellar year manning his half of the middle-infield. The sophomore committed just three errors on 209 fielding chances over the 2026 season, good for a fielding percentage of 98.6%. He was responsible for 79 putouts, and 127 assists, and helped to turn 25 of the team's 34 double plays on the year.

Britton is one of three CCIW student-athletes on the team, being joined by Carthage shortstop Michael Ossenfort, and North Central first baseman Payton Diaz.
