Millikin Goes 2-1 On Open Day of Wrestling

The Millikin wrestling team finally got to start its season hosting Elmhurst College, Augustana College and North Central College in a round of dual matches held on January 24, 2021 at the Griswold Center in Decatur, Illinois. The Big Blue picked up wins over Elmhurst and Augustana before falling to North Central.

Millikin won its first dual 38-6 over Elmhurst. Millikin won eight of the 10 matches. Trey Pearcy, Bradan Birt and Logan Hagerbaumer scored pins for the Big Blue.

The Big Blue then defeated Augustana College 48-0. Joey Rivera, Bradan Birt, Gus Wheeler, Hagerbaumer and Reyes had wins by fall for the Big Blue. Jordan Carson scored a 17-0 win by technical fall.

Millikin lost its final dual of the day 25-18 to North Central College.
Peter McCusker, Bradan Birt and Logan Hagerbaumer picked up their third match victories of the day for the Big Blue.
