Men's and Women's Swimming Fourth at IWU Halloween Invite

The Big Blue men's and women's swimming teams traveled to Bloomington, Ill. on Saturday, October 29 for the Illinois Wesleyan Halloween Invite. Both teams placed fourth in the team standings.

In the women's 500 yard freestyle relay, Millikin's Kaitlyn Mayer, Sarahi Villafana, Kendall Rossignol, and Aly Barnes teamed up for a third place finish in a time 5:09.28. In the men's race, Dawsen Loafman, Mark Miller, Justin Maniago, and Msanaa Bosland placed fourth. 

The team of Villafana, Amanda Fathman, and Mayer took fourth in the 3x100 yard butterfly relay. The team of Jack Hughes, Jason Burrow, and Aaron Amaya were fourth in the men's race. 

In the 3x100 yard backstroke relay the team of Emma Cox, Brianna Brunk, and Kally Saenz took fourth in a time of 3:45.93. On the men's side, the team of Bosland, KJ Hamlin, and Loafman were third in their time of 3:07.32.

The 3x100 breaststroke relay saw Rossignol, Mayer, and Brunk team up for a fourth place finish, while the men's team of Blake Wiebe, Burrow, and Amaya placed fourth. 

Aly Barnes finished second in the 200 yard freestyle in her time of 2:02.50. She was also a part of the 200 yard medley relay team that placed third along with Rossignol, Mayer, and Villafana. The team of Loafman, Amaya, Hughes, and Bosland placed fourth on the men's side. 

The 3x100 yard medley relay team of Mayer, Rossignol, and Barnes placed third in their time of 3:24.84. The men's team of Loafman, Hughes, and Bosland took third in a time of 3:05.66.

The Big Blue's Mayer, Cox, Kally Saenz, and Brunk took fourth in the 200 yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:56.05. In the men's race, Bosland, Maniago, Hughes, and Loafman teamed up for a third place finish. 

In the team standings, the women racked up 48 points, placing fourth. Augustana took first in the team standings with 105 points. On the men's side, Augustana tallied 107 points for the top finish. The Millikin men placed fourth with 46 points.
