Millikin Cross Country Competes at NCAA Regional

The Millikin men's and women's cross country team finished competed in the 2022
NCAA Midwest Regional held at Northwestern Medicine Cross Country Cross in Batavia, Illinois on November 12. The Millikin women finished in eighth place while the Big Blue men were ninth.

Alyssa Ruiz led the Millikin women finishers in 37th place in a time of 23:25.6. Freshman Emma Mallory was 55th at 24:02.2 with Quincy Collings coming home in 66th in 24:17.9.

Millikin's top finisher in the men's race was Bradyn Olmstead in 25:39.1. The Big Blue's Dane Alexander was 38th in 26:03.5 and Austin Bridgman finished in 47th at 26:15.6. Olmstead's performance will earn him United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Region honors. Despite Olmstead's strong finish, it appears he will like be just outside the cut to make the NCAA Cross Country Championships, which will be announced on Sunday.
