Millikin’s Olmstead Selected for NCAA Cross Country Champions

Millikin junior Bradyn Olmstead (Bloomington, H.S.) was selected to participate in the 2022 NCAA Men's Cross Country Championships to be held November 19 at the Forest Akers East Golf Course in Lansing, Michigan.

In addition to the Midwest Regional winner, North Central College, the University of Chicago, Loras, Wartburg and Washington University-St. Louis were all selected as at-large teams. That left Olmstead's 27th place finish on Saturday high enough to qualify him as one of the seven advancing individuals (not advancing as a team) from the regional. Olmstead finished the race in 25:39.1 earning All-Region honors. Olmstead will be the first Millikin male cross country run to compete in the NCAA Championships since 1982 when the Big Blue qualified as a team.
