Millikin Baseball in Division III Regional Rankings

DECATUR, Illinois—The Millikin baseball team is listed in the initial NCAA Division III Regional Rankings released by the NCAA on April 27.

In the first rankings teams are listed in alphabetical order. Millikin, at 21-12 on the season, is one of eight teams listed in Region VIII. Joining Millikin on the list are fellow College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) teams Augustana College (21-8) and North Central College (25-8). Other teams on the list are Aurora University (24-7), Benedictine University (21-6), MSOE (17-12), Spalding (20-13) and Webster (24-5). The rankings are based on action through April 24.

The Regional rankings are key components used by the NCAA to selection at-large team for the NCAA Division III Baseball Field.

Currently on a six game winning streak, Millikin has seven games remaining on its regular season schedule including five road games. The Big Blue are scheduled to play at Carthage College in a doubleheader on April 30 and a single game at Carroll University on May 1. Millikin plays a non-conference doubleheader at Webster University on May 3. The final home action of the regular season in a CCIW doubleheader against Elmhurst University on Saturday, May 7 starting at 1 p.m.
