Women's Soccer Earns Academic Honor

DECATUR, Illinois—The Millikin University men's and women's soccer teams were named College Team Academic Award winners by the United Soccer Coaches for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2021-22 academic year.
 
Millikin was among 130 schools the earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for both their men's and women's soccer programs. Programs needed a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher to receive the award. The Millikin men program, led by Head Coach Paul Anderson, had a team grade point average of 3.29 while Head Coach Ian Doherty's women's team had a grade point average of 3.33.
 
United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.
