Men's Golf Wins Highland Classic

The Big Blue men's golf team shot a two-day score of 577 to win Augustana's Highland Classic the weekend of September 1-2 with three individual golfers finishing in the top ten.

Millikin used a day one score of 292 followed by a day two score of 285. Illinois College took second with a score of 599.

Jack Bollinger remained in first place after day two, shooting a 68 on day one and a 71 on day two to total 139. Luke Bradley tied for second, shooting a 72 and a 73 for a two-day total of 145.

Virgile Gruny finished in fifth, shooting a 79 on day one then 67 on day two to total 146. Jake Krstulovich placed 11th, shooting a 75 then a 74 to total 149.

On the women's side, the team placed seventh in the standings with a two day total of 694. Augustana won the tournament, shooting a team score of 605. Madison Jessen was the top finisher with a two-day total of 167, shooting an 83 on day one and an 84 on day two.
