Millikin Opens Outdoor Track Season

The Millikin men's and women's track team opened the Outdoor season hosting its own Millikin Alumni Invite on March 29 at Frank M. Lindsay Field in Decatur, Illinois. No team scores were kept in the event.
 
The Millikin men won 10 events lead by double event winner Thomas Hills.
Hills won the Long Jump in 7.25 meters (23-9.50), which is third best all-time at Millikin. Awstace Grauer was third at 6.10 meters. Hill finished in first in the Triple Jump as well with a mark of 12.61 meters (41-4.50).
 
After winning the Pole Vault at the 2024 NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships, Kyle Hensley returned to action winning the Pole Vault with a school record jump of 5.00 meters (16-4.75).
 
Brandon Mattsey won the 1500 Meters in 4:14.83 with Christian Skaggs finishing in second at 4:16.46.
 
Emmanuel Nwatu won the 110 Hurdles in 15.43 seconds.
 
Dayton Lasack won the 400 Meters in 49.14 seconds. Grauer was third at 50.90.
 
Nolan Bates won the 800 Meters in 1:58.11 with Brock Richards finishing in second at 2:02.85.
 
Julio Hernandez Lopez won the 5000 Meters in 15:43.04. Aiden Pacunas was second at 16:10.06.
 
Camron Cross won the Discus with a toss of 42.02 meters (137-10).
 
Millikin won the 4x400 Relay in a time of 3:19.90 with Lasack, Grauer, Colin Griffin and Caleb Bleich competing.
 
The Millikin women won five events led by double event winner Itzel Garcia. Garcia won the Long Jump in 5.55 meters (18-2.50), which ranked her third all-time on Millikin's Outdoor Track Performance List. Garcia won the 400 Meters in 1:01.44.
 
Katie Janvrin won the Triple Jump in 10.97 meters (36-0), which ties for fourth best all-time.
 
Millikin's Hanna Sago won the High Jump at 1.58 meters (5-2.25), which was fourth best all-time for the Big Blue. Alayna Schultz and at 1.50 meters with Alexis Wike in third at the same height.
 
Krista Koke won the 800 Meters in 2:25.57 with Katie Risner coming in third at 2:33.68.
 
Adriyanna Patterson took second in the Hammer with a throw of 45.55 meters (149-05). Brianna Sweas finished in third at 44.43 meters.
 
Kendra Culler-Gautschi finished second in the 1500 Meters in 5:08.69.
 
Audrey Remole finished in second in the 400 Hurdles in 1:15.87.
 
Jazzalynne Hicks was second in the Shot Put with a throw of 11.25 meters.
 
Hailey Newill finished in second in the Pole Vault at 3.20 meters (10-6.00).
 
Elizabeth Hulick was second in the 5000 Meters in 15:59.75.
