Millikin Outdoor Track Competes at Greenville Select

The Millikin men's and women's track and field team turned in a solid performance at the Greenville University Select Meet on April 13 in Greenville, Illinois. The Big Blue men finished in third and the Millikin women were fourth.

In the men's competition, Millikin won three event and set two new school records.

Freshman Kyle Hensley won the Men's Pole Vault breaking his own school record with a mark of 5.05 meters (16-6.75).

Emmanuel Nwatu won the 110 Hurdles in 15.88 seconds.

Dayton Lasack won the 400 Hurdles in 55.01 seconds and finished in fourth in the 110 Hurdles in 16.04 seconds.

Jake Shumaker was second in the 800 Meters in 1:52.59.

Camron Cross was second in the Discus at 43.32 meters.

Colin Griffin was second in the 100 Meters in 21.99 seconds.

The Big Blue men were third in the 4x400 setting a new school record at 3:15.54. Lasack, Griffin, Caleb Bleich and Shumaker ran legs.

In the women's competition, sophomore Hailey Newill won the Pole Vault at 3.31 meters (10-10.25) breaking her own school record.

Quincy Collings won the 3000 Meter Steeplechase 11:47.77.

Alyssa Ruiz was fourth in the 800 Meters in 2:18.61.

Adriyanna Patterson was fourth in the Hammer at 46.94 meters.

Katie Janvrin was fourth in the Triple Jump at 11.07 meters.

Jazzalynne Hicks was fourth in the Shot Put at 11.38 meters (37-4.00)
