Millikin’s Brooklynn Sweikar Second at North Central Invite

The Millikin men's cross county team finished in second place at the North Central College Cross Country Invite held at St. James Farm in Warrenville, Illinois on September 6. The Big Blue women finished in third place.

Graduate student Bradyn Olmstead paced the Millikin effort finishing in seventh place at 26:07.1. Freshman Reece Peters was ninth at 26:15.7, which is the 20th best all-time at Millikin. Brock Richards was 19th at 26:43.3 followed by Edwin Monroe in 21st at 26:51.1. Aiden Pacunas finished in 25th at 27:02.4.

Wisconsin Whitewater won the men's team competition with 19 points followed by Millikin with 63 and North Central with 91.

In the women's competition, Wisconsin Whitewater won with 47 followed by Wheaton College with 57 and Millikin with 85. North Central was fourth with 86.

Freshman Brooklynn Sweikar led the Big Blue finishing second with a time of 23:31.3, which is 13th fastest in school history. Freshman Teyla Wendt finished 12th in 24:28.7 with Emma Mallory coming home in 17th at 24:50.5
