Millikin Wresting Remains Undefeated

The Millikin wrestling team picked up two more dual match victories on Dec. 20 to improve to 9-0 on the season. In action at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois, the Big Blue defeated MSOE 32-8 and the home Thunder 42-3. Millikin is now 4-0 in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) action.

Millikin won eight of ten matches against the Raiders. Pierson Wilkerson (125) and Charlie Armstrong (133) opened the match with wins by fall. Colin Claffey (141) and Sabri Sino (149) scored decisions. Chase Mirelez won 15-2 in a major decision before Michael Hutchinson closed out the streak with a 4-0 win at 165. Millikin closed out the match with Mateo Casillas winning 6-4 at 197 and Leno Campbell winning 11-2 (major decision) at 285.

The Big Blue won nine of the 10 matches against the Thunder including two Wheaton forfeits.

Freshman Nathan Barbee scored Millikin's first on mat victory at 141 winning 13-2 (major decision). Sino, Mirelez and Hutchinson all picked up their second victory of the day.

Vincent Fiore won at 174 for Millikin in a major decision 13-3. Casillas remained undefeated at 197 winning by technical fall 23-8 to improve to 13-0. Campbell improved to 10-1 on the season with a technical fall 20-4 win at 285.
