Millikin Women’s Triathlon Preseason Outlook

The Millikin University Women's Triathlon team enters the 2025 season with excitement and momentum. With a roster made up entirely of freshmen and sophomores, the program is young, but the Big Blue have brought in strong experience. Under Head Coach Ed Pacey, now in his third season at the helm, the team continues to show growth and rising potential.

Ranked No. 5 in Division III—up a spot from last year—Millikin is aiming even higher this fall. Pacey believes the squad has the depth and skill to contend at the top level, noting that the athletes are strong across the board in both the bike and run portions of competition. With that progression, the Big Blue have their eyes set on a top-three podium finish at nationals.

The season opened this weekend at the Geist Waterfront Triathlon, giving the young group an early test against tough competition. Next up is the Beaver County Tri Cup in Pennsylvania on September 20.

On October 4, Millikin will be racing in the Prairie State Cup in Clinton, Illinois during Homecoming weekend. The team is calling on the entire Big Blue family to come out and support them in what will be one of the largest races of the season.
