Women's Golf Starts Season Strong

Millikin women's golf starts the season strong with a fourth place finish at the Highland Classic hosted by Augustana College at Highland Springs Golf Course in Rock Island, Ill. The Big Blue women were led by Sophomore Zoey Beard who shot rounds of 77-80 to finish in a tie for 8th place. Newcomer, Junior Ava Hackman started her Millikin career off strong with a 77-82 performance to finish tied for 11th place. The Big Blue women shot rounds of 322-324. Millikin's first round score of 322 is 4th place all-time for Team Low Round for 18 holes. The two-day total of 646 now sits 3rd all-time for Team Low Round for 36 holes. Other top Millikin performers was sophomore Madelyn Beck who shot rounds of 86-80 to finish 20th overall and Freshman Kelis Morris playing on Millikin's 2nd team shot rounds of 80-87 to kick off her Millikin career. 
 
The Millikin women are back in action at Olivet College's Kyle Campbell Memorial Tournament at the Medalist Golf Club in Marshall, Mich. on September 5-6.
