"This was a very solid showing for us in an ultra-competitive field." said Director of Golf
Sam Osborne '10. "While this wasn't the best result we've ever had here, it certainly was one of the better scores that we've shot. It's always tough to rebound from a slow start, and round one wasn't up to our standard. However, it was great to see the team pull it together for round two, and have our strongest round in the closing 18 holes. The four teams that beat us are national contenders every year, and for good reason. We want to be in that conversation, and this was a great step towards that goal."
Playing as the individual,
Alex McMillin opened with a one under par 71 in the first round. He finished at 233 (+17) and was tied for 67
th.
Millikin is back in action on October 18-20, when they take part in the Golfweek October Classic. The Big Blue will also field a team in the Cougar Clash on October 12, a reserve tournament.
