Crawfordsville, IN – Millikin University Men's Golf was in action on Sunday, taking part in the Little Giant Invitational. Millikin was able to claim the top slot on the day, with a score of 580 over two rounds played.
Playing at the par 70, 6,188 yard Crawfordsville Country Club, it was
Alex McMillin who totaled a score of 143 (+3) on the day to take 2
nd place overall. McMillin shot a two under par 68 in the second round, which was tied for the lowest 18-hole score in the tournament.
Colt Bryson fired a 146 (+6) to finish tied for 5
th, along with teammate
Jacob Armstrong. Right behind the duo was
Tyler Rea, who's 147 (+7) was good for 7
th.
Marcus Aronsson wound up tied for 13
th after scoring a 152 (+12).
The Big Blue also fielded a second team in the tournament.
Ethan Noellsch led the way, powered by a three stroke improvement in the second round, with a 145 (+5) to take home 4
th place.
Alex Grenier fired a pair of 74s to total 148 (+8), tying him for 8
th place individually with
Dominic Yocum.
Darrin Dick placed 16
th with a total score of 154 (+14) over his two rounds, and
Alex Reinarman shot a 160 (+20) to finish 20
th.
Playing as the individual,
Benjamin Howey scored a 152 (+12) to tie for 13
th, with his second round coming in eight strokes improved over his first.
Millikin is back in action on October 5-6 when they take part in the Wabash Fall Classic.
