Sturtevant, WI – Millikin University Men's Golf was in action on Monday, taking part in the opening round of the Carthage Classic. The Big Blue were 2
nd in the standings after day one, trailing Northwestern-St. Paul by just one stroke for the lead.
The Big Blue were paced by
Will Ross, who fired a 69 (-3) on the 6,890 yard, par-72 course to tie for 2
nd after one round.
Jake Krstulovich and
Teddy Walbaum each shot an even 72 to come in tied for 9
th place.
Dominick Emig was tied for 29
th after shooting a 75 (+3) in the opener, and
Trevor Biggerstaff's score of 76 (+4) was good to tie for 41
st.
Millikin also fielded a B-Team, with
Alex McMillin leading the charge. His 73 (+1) was good to tie for 18
th after one round.
Colt Bryson fired a 76 (+3), as did
Jacob Armstrong. Both players tied for 29
th.
Ethan Noellsch and
Tyler Rea were tied for 65
th after scoring a 79 (+7) on the day.
The Big Blue are back on the links tomorrow, chasing their first tournament win of the season.
