Box Score Millikin faced Marian University in their first game of the day winning 12-2 in seven innings
The Big Blue got started early as Leyton Ivers singled and was then scored by Pete Britton's double down the left field line.
The Sabres fought back in the top of the fourth with a two-run homerun.
Millikin scored seven runs in the bottom of the 5th inning. Kolby Koslofski showed some speed to get it going with a bunt single, and Julian Cabanin also got on base to continue the rally.
Ivers then hit a triple that scored two runs. Pete Britton followed with a line drive single down the right field line that scored Ivers. Ty Cribbet singled to keep things going.
Carder Reich then crushed the ball over the center fielder's head to score Britton and Cribbet. Sam Bushur followed with a single through the 5–6 hole to plate Reich. Easton Steck then singled and later plated by Koslofski's double.
Ty Cribbett led off the bottom of the seventh with a double and was later scored by Reich's double to center field, adding some more cushion to the score. Kameron Ross then walked, and Gage Reynolds singled to right field, advancing to second on a throwing error and putting both himself and Ross in scoring position. Cabanin then walked off the game with a single up the middle, plating Ross and Reynolds.
Caleb Akins went the distance for the Big Blue, pitching all seven innings while allowing two runs on three hits and striking out seven.
Leyton Ivers bat was hot today as he had two singles, a triple, two RBI making him the offensive leader of the game
Pete Britton, Ty Cribbett, Carder Reich, Sam Bushur, Easton Steck, and Kolby Koslofski each collected two hits, while Gage Reynolds and Julian Cabanin each added one hit.
