Millikin Baseball continues to gain national recognition, earning the No. 25 spot in the latest ABCA Coaches Poll. With a strong finish to conference play, the Millikin Big Blue baseball secured the 2026 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Regular Season Championship, posting an impressive 15–5 record in conference competition.
Offensively, Millikin has showcased depth throughout its lineup, with five batters hitting above .300. Ty Cribbett leads the team with a .382 batting average and recording four triples. Carder Reich has been a key contributor leading the team in hits (52), doubles (13), and RBIs (42). The consistent production across the lineup has remained a major strength for the Big Blue.
On the mound, the pitching staff has delivered strong performances across the board. Caleb Akins has been a reliable presence, throwing 74 innings with 66 strikeouts while holding opponents to a .189 batting average. Gavin Houchins has been highly effective, posting a 1.59 ERA with 49 strikeouts over 39 innings while facing just 150 batters. Brayden Saling has also contributed significantly, recording a 2.26 ERA with 34 strikeouts and allowing 17 runs.
Millikin will look to continue its momentum as they travel to face the Rose-Hulman Fightin' Engineers on Wednesday.
