Millikin’s Akins ABCA\Rawlings All-American

DECATUR, Illinois—Millikin University sophomore Caleb Akins (Troy, Ohio, H.S.) was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)\Rawlings 2026 All-America Third Team on May 28.
 
Earlier this week, Akins was named to the D3baseball.com All-American Fourth Team.
Akins went 10-2 on the season with a 2.63 ERA and 84 strikeouts. Akins is tied for fourth in NCAA DIII in victories and ranked 10th in the country with WHIP at 0.95.
Akins made 14 starts with four complete games pitching 95.2 innings. The opposition batted on .198 against him. He allowed only 28 earned runs this season.
 
Akins was a key starter for the Big Blue baseball team that went 35-10 winning the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) regular season and tournament championships and advancing to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
