Millikin Baseball Ready to Host CCIW Tournament

For the first time in program history, the Millikin University baseball team will be hosting the 2026 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Tournament May 6-9 at the Workman Family Baseball Field in Decatur, Illinois. The tournament winner earns the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championships.
 
Millikin won the CCIW Regular Season crown with a 15-5 conference record going 32-8 overall. Millikin is currently ranked #24 in the ABCA NCAA DIII Coaches Top 25 poll.
 
Millikin is riding the wave of an outstanding pitching staff. Millikin's staff has the third lowest ERA in the country at 2.75. Freshman Brayden Saling's 10-0 record leads all of Division III win wins. Sophomore Caleb Akins is 9-1 on the season. Sophomore closer Gavin Houchins has a school record nine saves on the season (fifth in country) and ranks ninth in Division III in ERA at 1.49.
 
Seven Millikin players earned CCIW All-Conference honors with the Big Blue coaching staff being named the conference's Coaching Staff of the Year.
