Big Blue Athletic Teams Have Great Weekend

          The weekend of September 28-29 proved to be a great one for several Big Blue athletic teams with two programs upsetting nationally ranked opponents.
          On Friday, the Millikin volleyball team knocked off 12th ranked Hope College 3-2.
          On Saturday, the Big Blue men's soccer team defeated #10 North Park University 3-0 on the Vikings home field in Chicago. The Millikin women's soccer team was a 3-1 winner on Saturday giving both Big Blue soccer teams a 2-0 start in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) action . It is the first time in school history, both soccer programs have started the conference season 2-0.
          The Millikin football team scored an exciting 28-27 come from behind victory over Augustana on Saturday night to improve to 3-1, 2-1 on the year.
          The Millikin women's cross country team finished second at its own H.W. Wright Classic on Friday with the Big Blue men finishing in fourth place.
          The Millikin women's golf team finished fourth at the CCIW Championships played September 27-29 in Joliet wrapping up its fall season.
          The men's tennis team had a successful weekend at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Tournament in St. Louis. Millikin's Jacob Palley and Colin Sandgren advanced to the 16 in doubles action and went a combined 3-3 in singles play.
          Millikin had three players playing in the tournament's UTC Division where the Big Blue picked up five victories.
