Millikin Announces Fall CCIW Academic All-Conference Honorees

          DECATUR, Ill.—Millikin University, in conjunction with the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW), announces its Jack Swartz Award Recipients and the CCIW Academic All-Conference team for fall 2017.
        Millikin junior Nicco Stepina (Casey, Casey Westfield H.S.) and senior Meg Nowak (Carmel, Indiana, Guerin Catholic H.S.) were named the Jack Swartz Award winners for the fall of 2016. Stepina was the Big Blue's starting quarterback in football while excelling in the classroom. This season, Stepina was a co-captain and earned CCIW All-Conference Second Team honors while setting 10 new Big Blue passing records.
           Nowak is a starter for the women's soccer team majoring in Accounting. Nowak has started all 18 games for the Big Blue scoring one goal. In the classroom, Nowak maintained the highest grade point average of all Big Blue fall sport female athletes.
        Each season the CCIW selects an Academic All-Conference Team. To be recognized, the student-athlete must be enrolled as a full-time student; must have earned a letter during the 2017 fall season; and must carry at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average. Jack Schwartz winners must have at least a 3.50 grade point average. The list below is the team members from Millikin for the fall 2017 season.
