Three Millikin Football Players Honored by CCIW

          DECATUR, Illinois—Millikin University seniors wide receiver Jordan Smith (Shelbyville, H.S.), linebacker Matt Brown (Champaign, Central H.S.) and offensive lineman Jackson Delfosse (Chicago, Notre Dame H.S.) were named to the 2019 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) All-Conference Football Team announced on November 20.
          Smith was named to the All-Conference First Team for the third straight season with Brown and Deflosse selected for the All-Conference Second Team.  It was the second straight year Deflosse was named to the Second Team.  The CCIW All-Conference Team is selected by a vote of the conference head football coaches.
          Smith ended the season with 59 catches and broke his own Millikin school record for receiving yards in a season with 1,053.  Smith had a team high 11 touchdowns.  Smith was second in the CCIW in receiving averaging 105.3 yards per game.  In addition to holding the school record for receiving yards in a season, Smith hold the Millikin record for most receiving touchdowns in a season with 17.  Smith is Millikin's all-time career leading receiver with 3,353 yards and 182 receptions.  He hold the school record for career receiving touchdowns with 48.
          Brown was Millikin's leading tackler for the third straight season with 77 tackles (49 solo).  He had nine tackles for a loss and three pass breakups.  Brown ranked third in the conference in total tackles.
           Deflosse was a key blocker for a Big Blue offense that average 403 yards of total offense including 163 rushing yards per game.
