Nikol Obradovic, Emily Markus earn CCIW All-Conference Honors

The Big Blue women's tennis team earned two slots on the 2022 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin All-Conference squad. Junior Nikol Obradovic was named to the first team, and sophomore Emily Markus was named to the second team.

This season, Millikin placed second in the conference regular season as a team. Individually, Obradovic notched a 6-2 singles record at No. 1, falling only to two other first team selections, Xingchen Liu of Carthage who was also named both the Student-Athlete and Newcomer of the Year, and Kaeli Smashey of North Central. Competing in the No. 2 doubles slot with three different partners during the conference season, Obradovic helped the Big Blue go 7-1 at No. 2 in CCIW play. Obradovic has been named a recipient of All-Conference honors all three years she has been at Millikin.

Markus went 4-3 in singles play at No. 2 during the CCIW season. Alongside doubles partner Paige Willer at No. 1, Markus garnered a 5-3 record in her doubles competitions. Last season, Markus was named the Newcomer of the Year in the CCIW.
