Millikin Track Turns in Strong Showing at Illinois College

The Millikin men's and women's track team had a strong showing at the Illinois College True Blue Open on April 6 in Jacksonville, Illinois. The Millikin men finished in second place just 3.5 points behind first place Columbia College. The Big Blue women finished in third.

In the men's competition, Indoor National Champion freshman Kyle Hensley won the Pole Vault with a school record performance of 5.03 meters (16-6.00).

Dayton Lasack won the 400 Meters in 54.54 seconds.

The Big Blue 4x100 Relay finished in first place in 41.75 seconds with Kemper Koslofski, Colin Griffin, Emmanuel Nwatu and Caleb Bleich running legs.

Millikin won the 4x400 Relay in 3:17.59 with Lasack, Griffin, Awstace Grauer and Bleich participating.

Griffin was second in the 100 Meters in 10.86 seconds.

Gabe Bush was second in the 3,000 Meter Steeplechase in 10:12.61.

Bradyn Olmstead was second in the 5000 Meters in 15:33.87.

Camron Cross was second in the Discus at 41.55 meters.

Glenn Powers finished third in the High Jump at 1.90 meters.

In the women's competition, Hailey Newill set a new school record in the Pole Vault at 3.29 meters (10-9.50). She finished fourth in the event.

Zena Roberts finished in second in the Long Jump at 5.23 meters (17-2.00). Itzel Garcia was third at 5.18 meters (17-0.00).

Hannah Sago was third in the High Jump at 1.55 meters.

Alyssa Ruiz was third in the 1500 Meters in 4:38.46.

Brianna Sweas was third in the Hammer at 44.35 meters.

Katie Janvrin was fourth in the Triple Jump at 10.60 meters.
