Women's Golf Starts off Season at Highland Classic

The Big Blue Women's golf team opened their season at the Highland Classic, hosted by Augustana College, on September 1-2 in Rock Island, Ill. The women shot two day total of 694 (348-346).

Individually, Madi Jessen was Millikin's top finisher shooting rounds of 79-77, finishing 12 over par for the tournament and in a tie for 6th place. Jessen's 36-hole score of 156 ties for 9th place all-time in a 36-hole tournament at Millikin. Freshmen Zoey Beard started her Millikin career on a high note posting rounds of 83-78 and a top 15 finish the 72-player field.

The Big Blue women's golf team will continue their season by heading to Normal, Ill. for the Illinois Wesleyan Fall Classic on Saturday, September 14 for a two-day tournament.
