Women's Golf Opens Spring Season at Great Lakes Invitational

The Millikin women's golf team opened the spring portion of their season at the Great Lakes Invitational hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology at Hulman Links Golf Course on March 29-30, 2025. On Saturday, the women played 27 holes due to Sunday's forecast of inclement weather.

Freshmen duo Ruby Haegen and Zoey Beard led the Big Blue in round one, shooting a pair of 84s (+12). The team was in fifth place after the first round with a 352. The Big Blue improved by one stroke in the second round and remained in fifth place overall. Top performers were Ruby Haegen (84-85) for a 18^th place finish individually, edging out teammate Zoey Beard (84-86) who placed 20^th overall. Freshmen Madelyn Beck improved from round 1 to round 2 shooting 90-87 and finishing 25^th individually.

Millikin women are back in action at the Illinois Wesleyan Spring Fling in Normal, Ill. on April 12-13.
