Three Millikin University wrestlers brought home conference championships at the 2026 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Wrestling Championships held at Carthage College on February 14 in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Big Blue seniors Joey Jens and Leno Campbell only will first year wrestlers Mateo Casillas all earned conference titles. Millikin finished in second place in the team standings with 119.5 finishing behind North Central College with 158 points.
Jens won the CCIW Championship at 165 pounds. He opened the day with a 15-5 major decision. He then defeated Christian Gilbert of Carthage 4-2 in the semifinals. Jens won the Championship match 8-1 over Mekhi Cave of North Central. Jens is now 11-5 on the season.
Casillas won at 197 pounds. He opened with two wins by fall and won the Championship match 7-0 over AJ Frescura of North Central. Casillas is now 23-3 on the season.
Campbell is the Champion at 285. He won his opening match by fall before taking his semifinal match 12-0. He won the final match against Elijah Osit of Aurora. Campbell is now 19-7 overall.
Millikin had three other wrestlers earn All-Conference honors by finishing in the top three in their weight class. Chase Mirelez finished second place at 149 pounds. He advanced to the finals with two decisions before losing in the Championship match 9-5. He is now 19-7 on the season.
Senior Sabri Sino earned All-Conference honors at 141 pounds finishing in third place. After losing his opening match, Sino scored three straight bonus point victories with two wins by technical fall and a major decision. Sino is now 26-8 on the season.
Kody Marschner finished in third at 174. He went 4-1 on the day winning the third place match by major decision 17-7.
Charlie Armstrong went 2-2 on the day to finish in fifth place at 133. Micheal Hutchison finished in fifth at 157 going to 2-2.
