Thomann named to CCIW Men's Basketball All-Conference Honors

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin announced the 2025-26 men's basketball all-conference selections on Monday, February 23. Junior Lane Thomann repeated as an All-Conference honoree, named a First Team selection this season. 

Thomann started all 25 games for the Big Blue, leading Millikin in the scoring and rebounding categories with 18.9 points per game and 8.0 rebounds per game. In CCIW play, he averaged 17.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. He added 15 steals, 22 assists, and four blocks against conference opponents. He shot 48.1% from the field, and 43.5% from beyond the arc in conference competition. 

He scored a season-high 35 points in the Big Blue's home win over Carthage, going 11-for-20 from the field, 3-for-5 from three point range. He added a 10-for-11 performance at the line and grabbed 12 rebounds in the upset win over the league-leading Firebirds.

Thomann, a physical education major from Mackinaw, Ill., was selected to the all-conference second team last season. 

Senior Jacob Bullock (Bloomington, Ill.) was named to RESPECT Award honors. The CCIW RESPECT award is presented at the conclusion of every sports season with each varsity program recognizing one student-athlete. RESPECT Award recipients have distinguished themselves as an integral member of the team, their institution and community by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration and Trust. The RESPECT Award recognizes the intangible traits a student-athlete possesses that exemplify great character and encourages inclusiveness and a positive culture.
